To Much Negativity!!!!

Darlene, Hun please do not worry about the other people, once they see you are taking this seriously they might come around. Some at my job sure did but others well you just have to do what is right for YOU! Some just do not get it and others just don't see the weight because they see you almost everyday. I know because that happened to me and my cuz, I look back at pics now and I did not see her weight back then. I told everyone that would listen about my surgery but that is just me, I was so happy and proud of my choice that I wanted ALL to know. I know that is not for everyone and you have to do what is right for YOU! ~Hugs~ I wish you all the best.... Debra P

Debra,Thanks for your reply. I am happy and proud of my choice too.I guess thats why I thought everyone else would be too. but that isn't very realistic I see. I'm just going to keep it on the down low at work b/c I don't like all that negativity.I gotta do what I gotta do.when I see the before and after pics and read some of the journals it just touches my heart because like you say "I get it" and I believe this tool is a miracle for most of us,providing we do our part.Darlene

Hey, You know sometimes people get concerned and they have a hard time showing it in a proper way. I so have learned this. Sometimes the worry/concern comes out the wrong way. It just says something about them, not you, which is usually ignorance. For example, one of my friends the other day called me "Frankenstein" b/c of all the problems/surgeries I have had/having. I mean, that is totally uncalled for but on the other hand I know he is just concerned and just showed it in the wrong way. I just corrected him and told him I am not Frankenstein, that would be my surgeon b/c Frankenstein was the name of the Doctor in the novel. I would be just "the monster" as he is called. He just looked at me like he didnt understand a word I said. Ha. Anyway, keep your chin and and remember you are doing the right thing for you and that is all that matters! Tavia

Your right I'm sure they probably were just concerned and didn't express it correctly.I'm to stuborn to let someone elses opinion get in my way,but I really need to be positive about this.I don't want to be surrounded with negativity.I've decided not to mention it to the negative people at work. I believe this is right for me and that is what matters!Darlene
