WELL i will say all my life too i battled my weight. I would loose, with diets and then gain it back plus some. I had my RNY JUNE 1st and im already down 116 lbs in just six short months. FOR the first time in my life my portions are in control now. ITS like i had brain surgery. ITS weird but i eat like a lady now. BEFORE surgery i felt i had the bottomless pit that never got full. I was always hungry but now i dont have that problem. I am so happy i choose this surgery to help me loose weight. ITS a tool thats working awesome for me. I also love my surgeon and would recommend him to anyone. GOOD LUCK in your choices lisa

Hi! I totally understand how hard it is to accept the support of a fit and trim husband! I too have been overweight "forever" and can't wait to hit the losing side. I am scheduled for surgery in February. I am 33 years old and have twin 2 year olds--having them made me realize how important it is to get healthy before they learn every bad habit I've got! I wish you lots of luck on this journey!

Rachel, Hun all I can say is this is the best thing in the world I did for ME. I am down 93 lbs and going on 6 months. Feel so much better and I can now see a better quality of life, not that mine as so bad before but WOW what a better one now. You are the only one that can make this choice for YOU! I would say read all the info you can, check out others profiles, look at all the before and after pics and really take time out to see if this is for you. We are always here for support hun so ask away. ~Hugs~ I wish you the very best and I also have hear that a lot in my past: "Oh you have such a pretty face if.......". I agree with everyone! WLS saved my life! This Saturday, WLSofWNY, a support group based here in Buffalo and in Rochester and the surrounding areas, are having a WLS Holiday Party. Those in attendance are pre-op, post-op, significant others and doctors. We are having dinner, dancing, mingling...... If yall would like to look into coming on out, go to yahoo groups. WLSofWNY is the name of the group. When you get to the message board, in "search messages" type in "Holiday Party" to get the information! Hope to see you guys there

Hi Rachel! I am 25 and been married to my wonderful husband for 3 years also! And I understand exactly what you mean about the fit husband problem! My husband is so great and supportive but his soooo perfect looking! He can eat anything he wants and stay the same! Grrrrr. If you want to e-mail me I would love to have a youngerish person to talk to thru this journey too!
