I have a date
Good morning;
Yesterday I went to my surgeons office. She gave me a date of January 9th, 2006. I am floating on cloud 9. I have waited two years to hear this. My husband was with me and said I glowed when she gave me the news.
I have lost 22 lbs since September and she wants me to continue on the South Beach Diet. She also told me not to bindge since she does have the option of post poning my surgery if I should gain weight prior. This will be alittle tough through the holidays, however I know I can do it.
She also asked me to work out alittle bit more. I will try since I do work two jobs right now.
Thank you everyone for the support and the knowledge you all have given me even though I have not posted much. I feel the love and understanding here even with just lurking and reading.
I will keep everyone up to date.

Karen,
YEAH that is great news hun, congrats!!! I know I was on cloud 9 a while after getting mine as well. I wish you all the best through the holidays, I know how hard this can be and post often so we can all support each other through these rough holiday times.
Take care

Karen,
Congratulations
This is such an exciting time for you. What a great Christmas present eh? Remember over the holidays to use the 3 bite rule
When faced with foods we really shouldn't eat, try to focus on the three bite rule to get through the holiday
The First Bite is to get a good taste
The Second Bite is to verify it was as good as we thought it would be
The Third bite is the LAST BITE, so savour it
This way, you won't feel deprived during the holidays, but you won't overindulge either.
Good luck, keep posting, we're here for you.

Karen,
Congrats !!!! I am so happy for you ! You have been working so hard and finally have something to reward you for all that hard work !!!
I am sure that it will be hard for you to work out more seeing as how you have 2 jobs !!! You must be exhausted when you get home as it is !
Have you tried lifting light weights yet? Maybe that would do the trick as I have found that it is not quite so tiring as say arobic walking ect. !
I am sure after working those two jobs and then coming home and working out at all is very , very hard much less taking care of family as well as other things you have to get done ...Hugh?
You have been doing a great job so far at it and apparently your DR. thinks so too ! Getting that date is so wonderful ! In fact I just got my date too ! I am so excited as well !
I have to wait a bit longer then you for surgery but you have waited far more longer in total time then I have ! I started my journey in June this year and you have been waiting over 2 years ! WoW !! I thought I had to wait a long time but compared to you it is nothing !!
My date is set for ...April 5,2005 ! I am required to lose 10% of my weight before surgery and have to go on Medifast shakes for 2- months
starting in January !
I wish you great success now and always !
Take care !
and
Carol
