Medically Supervised weight-loss program

Now i've done like fad diets on my own and jenny craige for like no more then 3-4mons and weigh****chers for like 2mons but these are things i've done awhile ago....i just wanted to know if these can count as a MSWLP.....has anyone gotten approved for the lap band that didn't have much MSWLP? Also i have Blue cross blue sheild EPO and they say that the lap band is investigational and that the wouldn't cover has anyone gotten the lap band through BCBS EPO? Please help!

I wish I had a defiinative answer for you Katiana. I am sweating out a MSWLP that I did from May 2004 to April 2005. I am not sure insurance will accept it because I had to drop out of it for $ reasons back in April and they may want something more current. I hope not. I think that each insurance company is different in its requirements. I also think different surgeons have different criteria. Have you chosen a Surgeon yet? I also wanted to say hello. Hey you have to find a good Doc too. my weight is WAY WAY WAY over 350 so what i have to do is goto GNC and se the scale outside of the store. It's only 2 pounds light that and i have a print out of my weight witha time and date. My PCP is cool and just makes some **** up and i give him my slip. With health now as long as i'v been going to the doc for way ins and i'v joined a gym and going (joined last year) there good to go. It sucks because they didn't ask for the 6 months or stuff so after Dr Cunninghams office sent the pocket in they called back wanting the 6 months and a ultra sounds (I'm not Preg. so i know how your feeling, this mess is crazy when your right at the finsh line and you can see it but your not there yet, and in my case if i don't get surgey by the end of the year i have to go back to the starting line and start over. I just keep your eye on the prize....
