?'s postop
Hi Sue, my surgery was Nov 7 and I have a bit of energy but not a full day's worth yet. I've been on vacation since the 7th and go back to work on the 29 of Nov. I'm hoping to have both some additional energy and stamina to get up at 6 AM again. Shakes? I've had them occassionally, so I usually take a sip of water and lay down. I haven't had any bloodwork done to determine if there are any problems such as an iron deficiency.
Hopefully, you maintain contact with your doctor so that you can address your concerns. That's part of their responsibilities so you take advantage..
I hope that you feel better soon. Take care.
Linda
My surgery was nov 10th..I feel great actually. I have energy and have felt that way a few days out. I also have had an iron deficiency, but since I have been on vitamins with iron it seems to be better. My Dr. has me on 2 prenatal vitamins a day...and it seems to work great for me. Hope you feel energized soon.
I went back to work after 4 weeks and a few days later my energy started coming back to "normal". I'm 5 weeks out now and overall I have to say I feel pretty good. Once I was on "normal" food, I think it picked up for me. I would guess that your iron deficiency is why you get the shakes, or it could be a that you're not getting enough water? I know I don't get enough water yet. That's the hardest thing for me now and I used to chug a gallon a day and think nothing of it!
I got the shakes a few times early on when I didn't have enough water or enough food in me.
