Hi everyone,
Well I'm back from another exciting trip to the hospital. When I spoke to my dr on the phone he insisted I go and was going to admit me no matter what but just go to the other hospital he works out of instead of the "other" one.
Man, it is like night and day between these two hospitals. That is all I am going to say about that.
The ER doctor said my lungs sounded like they were all over the place and was unacceptable. He called my dr who came and listened and said the same thing. He said my oygen level was so low and I probably would have lost consciousness if i didnt get a breathing treatment that night.
Anyway, my doctor actually wanted to keep me there until monday! I was like no way jose. He was very hesitant to discharging me today but he totally understands why I do not want to stay there. He knows I have a young son and he said that was the only reason he was letting me go. He said he will send me home only under the conditions I go on bed rest for 6 days. He ordered me to have a breathing machine to come today for me to do my breathing treaments on every 4 hours. He also gave me some steroids to take to keep the inflammation down in my lungs. He said my husband as to do everything and I cant go anywhere or do anything. He told my husband if I have any trouble breathing, I have to go back. He said pretend like you are in the hospital and to see him first thing on monday.
What a freakin nightmare. Lord help me! But I am home, showered and now I just have to wait for my nebolizer to arrive. Fun fun, but those treatments really do help open my lungs up.
Gosh I never had problems like this before my surgery. I rarely even used my inhaler now I am on a breathing machine. I really need to start eating better so i dont get sick and end up like this all the time, ugh!
Anyway, thanks for posting your well wishes, my husband read them to me over the phone last night. It means a lot. Take care everyone!
