What did you eat?
Debra
Pants getting bigger is good! I have to laugh at myself when I get irritated that my pants feel baggy -- it's a GOOD thing.
Yesterday's food -- if I can remember....
Breakfast:
Coffee
2 Endulge Mint Wafer pkgs
Scrambled Egg
Peanut Butter on Banana
Snack: a few SF twizzlers
Lunch:
Chili
1/4 bagel w/cream cheese
Snack: 1 Endule Mint Wafer pkg
Dinner:
Fage 0% plain yogurt w/banana & peaches
Snack: Stallone Pudding w/Lite Cool Whip
By the way, if you haven't had the Fage yogurt -- it is "Authentic Greek Yogurt -- plain comes in 0% and 2%. The good part is that it is 80 calories/cup, 13g protein, and 6g sugar -- lowest sugar I have found other then the Carb-whatever stuff.

Hey Deb,
Long time , No Post .....Hugh? Well I am just dropping in to say hello !
i have been very pre-occupied with my grand baby and my daughter ...whom is having a very difficult time lately so I have not had much time for reading or posting. I see that you have a new scale ? I am sorry to hear that the weighing was'nt what you expected though . Don't worry you will get there ! Hey, I wish I was on the losing side as you and so many others are right now ! Just remember , you are lucky to have started your journey on the other side as there are so many of us that are still awaiting to get there !
I will not post what I have ate as I am experiencing the " Last Supper syndrome " on a regular basis these days and what I am eating is far from healthy !
My scales get scared when they see me coming !
I have to go on Medifast shakes for 8 weeks prior to surgery and I won't be able to eat for that amount of time , so I guess you could say I am settling all my accounts now before hand !
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving ! Take Care,
and
Carol

Carol,
Yeah waiting is the game....I had to wait myself for 6 months before having surgery so I know a little about waiting before hand.
Other have had to wait longer.
Yeah I think we all have done the "last supper" thing, it was funny that after your surgery and you get back to eating normal again how you look back and say "what was I thinking" I can still eat. You really do not want to eat like you used to anyways.....Don't get me wrong there are times when I feel I could eat the house empty but you know you would be really sick after.
Well take care hun and I hope to see you more often... ~Hugs~

Deb-
Sorry to hear about the scale issues. When I switched scales, I went up about 2 pounds, too.
. Just keep in mind how far you have come--
Why don't you do your measurements before Thanksgiving so you have a different metric? That might be a good thing to do.
In other news, I am taking a cooking class at the Institute for Culinary Education here in Manhattan -- I know your probably going-- what? are you crazy? Food class. It is a three session course on Fish and Shellfish preparation. Last night was a blast-- I learned how to fillet fish, make fish stock, kill (I know I am evil) and cook lobster; tips for not overcooking fi**** was great. While some of the recipes were fattening, I think most of the recipes can be altered without altering the taste. Next week is curing (not cooking) fish, and filleting flat fish (flounder).
Anyway-here's my list-- as far as I can tell- It's hard to figure out exactly what I ate at the class.
B: Protein Bar
L: Turkey bacon, LT wrap (left the wrap over and ate the insides)
S: 2 oz. cheese 5 grapes
D: tablespoon of curried lobster salad
oyster with vinigerette
red snapper in dashi (about 1oz)
salmon with lemon sauce (about 1 oz)
Mussels, pepper and tomato salad (1T)
1 shrimp dumpling
5 pc. of fruit with a smidgen of whipped cream
2 oz. white wine
I was actually a bit bad by having the wine with dinner, but I tried to separate it as much as possible.
Cheers!

Andrea,
I know I still have to take the measurements but I am so bad with that because I do not want to get crazy with this, even though the scale already has me part of the way.
Hey I think that is great about the cooking hun, if you enjoy it there is nothing wrong with it.
I wish you the very best with it.
Take care hun ~hugs~

B. 3 oz farina with 1 tbs skim milk
S protein shake
L 3 oz italian mix (2 oz FF ricotta cheese 1 oz organiz tomato sauce)
S SF popsicle
D 1 oz ground turkey (pureed) mixed with 1 oz FF ricotta, 1 tbs cottage cheese and 2 tbs tomato sauce. (didn't finish dinner so it will be there for lunch tomorrow).
I still dislike the protein shakes. They don't taste very good, kinda of chalky.
I don't own a scale and don't really want one.
