Ok so i was chewing on my viactive calcium chew today and i must have forgot what i was doing and i swallowed a big piece without being fully chewed. OMG i thought i was going to die. The pain!!!!! So i had to think quick, i knew it was the viactive so i turned the stove on and boiled water and made a hot cup of tea and started drinking. After two sips the pain was gone and i was 100% better. Scary.

SORRY to hear you experienced this but sounds like you did the right thing to melt that thing down to fit.... UNFORTUNATELY, my first experience post op with something like that was with steak. IT hurt going all the way down...and then i knew it was stuck...eeks.... ANOTHER thing to keep on hand, i havent used it but in case you ever do that with a food that warm liquid wont disolve thru...keep PAPAYA enzyme on hand which will get thru if a piece of meat was stuck. GLAD YOUR WELL! LISA

Meat tenderizer has the papaya enzyme in it too, and it is readily available at any grocery store; in a little bit of warm water, kinda like the tea you made, only in this case, I think the more concentrated the better Hopefully you'll never need it.
