Tofu is very plain but it takes on the flavor of what you have with it, i like it plain but i tried it with the teriaki sauce last night and it was great. Funny though, i only like one brand...Noysoya extra firm. I cant eat any other kind, i have tried others and i didnt like them at all. My older son and daughter used to eat it all the time too, cant get the little guys to eat it though....

LisaMarie, I will have to try that brand and see what happens, you can mix it in stir fry right? I will have to read up on it more, I like the idea that it is Soy Protein which is very good for us. Debra P

What you are kidding me, I LOVE tofu. It one of the only kind of solidy foods i can get down. There is this korean supermarket by me that sells it for really cheap. love love it! (Never in a million years did I ever think I would be hearing myself say that.) My son eats it as well, he calls it chicken. My husband makes fun of me as well. I bought these sugar free cookies two days ago for my son. Yesturday I went to give my son a couple and low and behold my husband went and ate the WHOLE bag of them in two days. What a piggie. I said to him when in gods name are you eating these? I never once saw him eat a cookie! He tells me he doesnt do it in front of me b/c he doesnt want to make me feel bad. I have this image of my husband pretending to have to use the bathroom but really took a handful of cookies to shove in his mouth, ha! Its sad what cookies can do to a person! hee-hee. Tavia

Tavia, Hun I will have to try this for sure. Yeah I got the s/f cookies from bariatriceating.com and just love them, I have them with the carb control milk and it feels like I am being SOOOOO bad. I know I can not do them every day because they are slight bit high in carbs and fat but hey they make me smile. Debra P

Would you believe that I was so freaking busy yesterday that I almost forgot to eat!! NEVER in my life have I ever uttered those words!! Mom and I went food shopping in the moring to get all the stuff for Thanksgiving dinner. When I got up in the moring I made my self a cup of Chi Tea and was going to eat after that!! We got back from food shopping around noon....at that point my hubby was making himself some eggs. so I made an egg sandwich (on a whole wheat english muffin) and I could only eat 1/2 of it!! then we went Christmas shopping for the rest of the day. Had 2 pieces of steak and 1/2 small white potato for dinner. I guess i need to be nore aware of eating huh?? Lisa 371/341/201/140

Lisa, Yeah I know how you feel hun, if you don't stay on top of it time flies and nothing eaten. Never before would that happen! But I do have to say at times though I feel like I could eat a mac truck. I am so scared of NOT eating because I hate that feeling lightheaded and sometimes if I do not eat I can feel that way. I guess it could be low blood sugar now. Debra P

Well, I've had a bit of a rough few days, and didn't exactly keep track of my food, but I will say that it was somewhat curtailed by something getting stuck on Friday afternoon. I now know that "this little piggie" can't have roast beef!! Visited my surgeon that afternoon at his suggestion, and after conversation he said that if I continue to "lose my lunch" he will consider scoping me. In the meantime, yesterday I got my appetite back, and I ate: B: Coffee, Bagel w/cream cheese S: a few sugar-free twizzlers L: piece of french bread & French onion soup S: 5 walnuts, TCBY Low Carb whateveritis D: Plain Fage 0% yogurt w/peaches S: pretzels feistyemm highest 329/pre-surg 271/now 203/goal 149 (at the moment)

Emm, Well I am sorry to hear you had some rough times but glad you are feeling better now. ~Hugs~ Sometimes I think it is the way we don't chew something or it just is not liked by our pouch. Well we all learn every day about this new pouch thingie... Take care and have a great night. ~hugs~ Debra P
