I've been M.I.A.
Its been really stressful for me lately with family health matters. Sorry I have not been on to post but I just have not had the time.
The scale, well lets not blame the scale, I am stuck at 162. Im not complaining because I have never been this low in my adult life, but It is making me crazy.
I also have not been eating so great. Im not eating bags of chocolate or chips, never even did that before the surgery. I just have not been eating as healthy as I could be, and since the weather is getting colder I ride my bike alot less. I do drink my water though, basically thats all I drink, except for coffee or tea.
The thing is, Im worried Im going to gain back all the weight, eventhough I have not gained Im still fearful. Does anyone else get worried they will put back on the weight? Or am I out of my mind?

Hi Kimberly,
I just started with my journey with surgery on 11-7. I've been reading and reading and have also emailed the nutritionist several times already. The key is the protein. So if you just feel like drinking, drink protein: shakes, skim milk, skim milk with plain cocoa and sweetener. Without the protein plateaus may be inevitable.
I think about not losing enough weight but to be at 150 again would put a smile on my face. My knees won't hurt, my back won't ache, etc. I went and bought a stationery bike from Boscov's. Mail order one and they will deliver it. I had to put mine together but it wasn't that hard to do. One of my favorite things to do is to mall walk. I get to see the outfits that I may one day buy for myself...or not...it will be up to me. Maybe that's the key. You are doing this for yourself. If you want to take a break then do it. Just remember that you only have enough room for so much food and unless you are taking in 1-2 ounces of McDonald's shakes every twenty minutes during the day, the weight will not come back.
I realize that I'm just a novice at all of this but hang in there, and do some reflection similar to when you decided why you wanted the surgery in the first place. You may find just the nudge you need to get back on track.
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Linda
