Drains out

Drain removal was uneventful. The big event for the day was a 10 pound weight loss from one week ago!!! Just amazing. I've been reading all of the different mushy food suggestions and they will definitely be incorporated into my daily routine. Any good suggestions for protein shakes that are not more than 5% each of fats, carbs, sugars??? I'm drinking the carbadvantix right now, but they are not thick and only come in three flavors. Thanks for your help.

Linda, Glad it all went well hun ~Hugs~ Congrats on your weight loss. Very exciting right.. I wish you all the best.... I use the Choc 0 carb Isopure, I also have Champion vanilla and banana. I just got this fruity flavor from Bariatriceating.com and I will let you all know how that goes after I try it. Take care Debra P

Unjury is good - again only 3 flavors but I really like their chocolate one. Strawberry was kinda bleh though. Wow you drove farrr for your surgery! How will you keep up with the monthly appointments?

I drove to the presurgical testing and took the train before that. A friend drove me to the drain removal this past Monday. For the 1 month appointment since it will be mid December I will probably take the train again, unless the weather report shows that driving won't be a challenge. I also didn't want to have surgery done locally. After a long Internet search, Dr. Garber's name kept coming up so I made the appointment. It took only 4 months from the initial consult to surgery (7-7 to 11-7). Up here it takes nearly 6 months just to get an appointment and there were really no centers for bariatric surgery. Albany Med just became certified as a bar. surgical center on August 17 this year. Long story short...I like the staff and the doctors at the NY Bariatric Group. Where do you buy Unjury? Thanks!! Linda- congrats-- I actually had a hard time with shakes. I finally found one that I like- It's Achiev. They are like a protein shake that tastes like a less sweet Starbucks coffee drink-- four flavors and have 20g protein 3.5g of sugar and no fat. You can order them on bariatriceating.com Hang in there. The first few weeks are rough, but it gets better. Take care. Andrea
