Just wanted to say good luck on your surgery. I hope all goes well. I will also be following your post for myself for supplies if you don't mind. I am trying to buy up some things that don't need refrigerating at this time, and will buy the others later on. How about some of the creamed soups, like broccoli cheddar, cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, cream of celery. I am sure they can also be easily pureed. And do you have any protein powder? I found a huge container at Walmart, chocolate flavored for around $11 or $12. Tastes pretty good and I have been experimenting with adding bananas, 1% milk , gotta try peanut butter with it too. I also bought myself the black and decker chopper, and also one of those hand held blenders that you can put down into a container and chop or puree or make frothy. I have been trying different combos with that too. I tried some frozen strawberries, a banana, 1% milk, orange juice. It made an awesome tasting fruit smoothie. I just need to find some unflavored protein to try in them. Good luck again, Shannon Arnold 257/???/130???

HI DEEDEE.... FIRST off good luck with your upcomeing surgery! WOW... YOU sound very prepared. Few things i would recommend to have in the house for your return home: CHEWABLE GAS X LIQUID TYLENOL and bring chapstick to the hospitol! OTHERWISE i think you have everything covered...maybe some sugar free ice pops , sugar free jello and sugar free pudding i would add. I had surgery in the hot weather so i enjoyed sucking on them! ALL THE BEST LISA 310/202/???

Hi Dee-Dee! Wow you sound very prepared, good for you!!! I wouldnt buy too many baby food jars b/c you really wont be eating that much in the beginning anyway. Just try to get the protein in first. I know how expensive those baby jars are anyway. You should try getting some of the stallone protein puddings. You can get them online or at GNC. I know they are expensive but they are truly a lifesaver, easy to get down and tasty to boot! Try splenda verus equal/sweetnlow. I personally notice that equal makes my hands shake and a little bit of a headache. Splenda does not. I think splenda doesnt taste to funny/bitter like equal does. You can add the splenda into your ricotta cheese for a yummy treat! Like Lisa said bring some chapstick to the hospital and hand lotion. The drugs they give you really dry you right up. I personally take ear plugs b/c I am sick of hearing all of that hospital noise. Good Luck and email me again anytime, ok? Talk to you soon and please keep me updated!! Tavia
