MUSHIES HELP!!!
Ok All,
I posted this on the Main Message Board as well.
Please Help, I am in the mushies stage for a little while longer and I am getting sick and tired of CHOKING down the same bland crap everyday.
Mash potatos, oatmeal, cream of wheat, blenderized chicken, scrambled egg, it's like....There has to be other non bland food that I can eat.
the sick thing is that I am not even hungry but you have to get in your meals everyday, and I am just sick of the same menu over and over again.
PLEASE HELP!!!
Well, this is what I eat on Sunday when I make the traditional pasta meal
Low Fat Ricotta, with low fat mozzarella and some gravy. I sprinkle some Peccorino romano on top, and it's like Baked ziti minus the ziti.
Gail
you can also have Chili (Wendy's or Burgr King is good, and I have had a lot of issues with vomitting, but they stayed down)
Hope it helps
ENZO my favorite at that stage was:
LO fat riccotta cheese, lo fat mozzerella cheese and some red tomatoe
sauce of choice and it was my noodless lasagna.
My 2nd food of choice at that stage was chicken salad.....boiled cooked chicken, hard boiled egg. celery and lo fat mayo....finely chopped in a black and decker chopper!
THOSE were two foods of choice for me at that stage and i did like soups too then broccoli chicken cheddar was a favorite for me tool
GOOD LUCK!

Hi Enzo,
I am like you --I want variety--so I purchased a book called "Eating well after weight loss surgery" I enjoy the meals and it was specific for newly post-op patients as well as those who were further out.
I found that I could handle the spices as long as I didn't overdo them and It was a much more varied menu.
You can order it from amazon.com
It helped.
Be Blessed,

Hi Enzo,
When I was at that stage, what worked for me was quite easy. I went to the market and bought myself a couple cans of fat free chunky's and progresso soups. Stuff like chicken and veggies, split pea with ham, beef and veggies, stuff like that. I put them in my chopper, pureed them, and was able to eat like 2 or three times from one can..... Hope that helps!!
Good Luck!
Hugs,
Blanquie
