Lisa, Will the chemo only give him a couple of months? See, there I go, trying anything to keep him around longer. I know of course how it feels. Anyone who loves animals & has had animals, knows how it feels when they die or we have to put them down. My 13 y/o still talks about the dog she loved so much & the cat she misses even though we have other pets now. Out of nowhere she'll say "mommy I miss Lady". It always brings the sad feelings back, unntil we talk about all the good times. I hope everything works out. Linda

Lisa, I sure am sorry about your baby. We just lost our beloved kitty Precious, who we had for 16 years, last month. She was truly one of the family and it devastated us all. I will say a prayer for your Hercules and I will also say one for you and your family. Give him all the luvins you can, that is all he will care about. All my best, Shannon

LisaMarie, Hun I know how this is hurting you, trust me! I am so sorry you have to go through this... This year has been so tough for us also, we had the fire int he house and lost our 2 cats and doggie so I know it just SUCKS! Sorry but that is the only word I can say about it. We were dealing with a sick cat a while back but she seems to be doing ok now. ~crossing our fingers~ but it really takes something out of you when you feel you need to make these choices. These are our babies and they become such a part of the family... I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that you have the strength to do what you need to do hun, both for yourself and your family because I know just how hard this is. If you did chemo it will only give him a couple of months? It is so hard because they can not talk and tell you what they want... for me that is the hardest part.... Take care Debra P

Hi everyone, thanks for your thoughts and prayers. The vet told me that the option was to both amputate the leg and give him chemo, no guarantee how he would take to either and that it most likely would only give him a couple of months to live due to the aggressive nature of the bone cancer. She said more likley then not it has spread already. I refuse to put him through all of that. I think it would be selfish of me. We are going to decide what to do this week. I will speak to the vet tomorrow, make sure there isnt any other medication we can give him to make him comfortable and if not then we have to do what is right for him as hard as that is going to be. Again thank you all for you love. LisaMarie
