Waiting.............

I started this process in april of this year. Almost got to see the first surgeon then he stopped doing the surgeries. Made another appt and then was told by the insurance co. that I had to choose another DR. So far I have had 3 MSW visits, 3 nutritionist visit with two different people and two appointments at DR Mecenas office in Ithaca. ALso I have attended two support group meetings in Ithaca so far, another meeting on Nov 21st. I called Dr M's office last week and yesterday and he has all the information needed to schedule my next appointment but last I heard its sitting on his desk. I have been planning since last year by saving my vacation and sick time. Dr M does is LAP - RNY. I could be off 6 weeks and still get paid-hoping to be off only 3-4 weeks. I was really hoping to have it done this year before everything I have already done is still acceptable for the insurance co. Very frustrating- not hearing anything. Hope I did not make a mistake choosing Ithaca over Cooperstown for the surgery??????? Thanks, for listening.

Tara,it is fustrating . but I guess we just have to keep on trying.Follow,follow,follow,follow,follow the yellow brick road.When will we get to see the OZ???? LOL!!!! (I laugh at my own jokes) I'm trying too and it seems like I'm never going to get there.I have to see the nutritionist 3 more times.keeping a daily journal is something I'm not used to and I really don't want to keep one just yet,but I gotta do what I gotta do.She wants me to give up my Diet Coke now.My last appiontment with her is in Febuary. I think Ill wait till January before I give that up.Anyway don't give up. I just worry that my insurance will change thier criteria by the time I get to see the OZ! Sometimes I just think that if it's meant to be it will happen.God is working on his schedual ,not ours!! bye for now and good luck.Darlene Briseno
