Hi , I don't know, but I feel really depressed and everything is making me cry. I am 9 weeks out and have lost 45lbs. I just wish that my mood would improve. Just needed to vent this because no one seems to understand and my husband is stressing me out to the max and I have no one, other than my children who are 10 and 6 and can't possibly understand. Thanks gail

Gail, I am sooooo sorry I haven't been able to call you. My husband works nights, so I'm up all night, and sleeping in the day......My life is all backwards. I can so relate to what you're feeling. I am also going through some weird crying thing all the time. The dumbest little things make me cry. I just read your post, on my way to ask this question myself. I am wondering if this is a post op thing, or what. I don't understand it. I cry for everything..... I am really gonna try and give you a call tomorrow. What would be the best time to call you? For now, please hold your head and be easy. God doesn't give us nothing we can't handle. We are gonna come out of this like the shining stars that we are........ ((((((HUGGING YOU)))))) Blanquie

Gail, I don't know if it will make you feel any better to know that you are not alone on this. I keep waiting to start my menstrual cycle because I am crying at the drop of a hat. I have alot of friends who are just waiting ot see me fail, so I can't talk to them. This board is really the best place to vent, and if that still doesn't help maybe you should tell your doctor. I know that some physcians put patients on an antidepressant as soon as they have any type of wls. Maybe you just need something to get over the hump. But I know that everyone here will do anything to help that they can. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs Christine

I find myself crying over tv COMMERCIALS...now THAT'S strange! but very true. I rarely get thru a tv show without tears...I'm not depressed (at least I don't think I am..maybe I'm just really good at convincing myself) but I do cry a lot...so no...you're not and definately not alone! hugssssssssss.. Gail- You are actually experiencing a very common and VERY normal reaction after having WLS. Mostly it is due to the rate of losing weight. Our fat cells store estrogen. Well when we lose weight so fast the estrogen gets released and makes us in a nutshell emotional basketcases. It's like mega PMS with a period nowhere in sight!!! It will get better the further out you get and your weightloss rate starts to stabilize. I still get moody and depressed, ect and then I will see the scale jump down like 4 pounds overnight and figure that must be why. Talk to people from the board, we are all here to help and support you! Janet
