Back Home, I threw up!!
Hi All,
I had my surgery on Wed Nov 2nd and I was released on Friday afternoon. As of this morning it is easier to get out of bed and I even went outside for a walk this morning. Sunday afternoon, I must have sipped water to quickly or gulped to quickly, because I had such a pain, I was crying and thinking what did I do. I finally threw up some thick clear mucus twice, I waited a few minutes and then took some pain medication and layed down. I felt soo much better Monday monring. Then I did it again yesterday afternoon, trying to get my fliuds in I rushed with the water and the pain was back, but not as extreme. So, I thought maybe I am hungry, so I made a protein shake thinking, maybe I am hungry? Worst move. Only got a sip a little and within a 1/2 hour it came up. Feeling a little discouraged right now. Will this pass? It is still very hard to get all my liquids in, is this normal?
Thanks for all your support,
Melissa

Hi Melissa,
Because you are so fresh out and having trouble keeping liquids down I would say to let your surgeon know. It is probably nothing but it is better to be safe and sorry. He might just send you another a annoying test to make sure everything is alright. I hope it all works out for you!

Melissa,
Hun I would say the same thing as Tavia, call your surgeon. I might just be that you ticked off the pouch by drinking to fast but you never know so please just check with him/her. I know when my pouch is upset it stays like that for a couple of hrs...........
Hun it takes time to learn how this new "pouch" works so take your time and it WILL get better, trust me!
Take care
