Where is the pain you are feeling?
Appendix pain usually starts around the bellybutton and spreads to the lower right part of your stomach, then to your back. Usually you have a fever or high WBC when you are developing Appendictis. When an appendix starts to go bad, it goes bad fairly quickly and is considering an emergency. But if you have been feeling pains for awhile and nothing else than it probably isnt your appendix.
Upper right pain is usually gallbladder issues that can happen after dramatic weight loss. My gallbladder just went bad last month and needed to come out.
But either way pain is no good, trust me i know. Doctors have special places they push/poke on your abdomen to tell where the pain is coming from. These points have "special" names and they will know exactly what it is if you have a certian reaction. Let your PCP/surgeon know what/where you feel it. I hope everyone works out well for you!

Brandi,
Hun I would say the same as Tavia and I would call your surgeon to be on the safe side. ~Hugs~ I wish you all the best.
