I had open RNY and my hospital stay was a total of three days. However, I had STITCHES and not STAPLES. In my view, staples are a cruelty perpetrated upon humans. Staples were made for inanimate objects that don't feel PAIN. I don't know if the stitching is what makes it different, but I was totally amazed at how quickly I was able to take care of my ownself. in fact, I felt so good that I wanted to go to work the Monday following my surgery [which happened on Tuesday morning]. Goes to show we are ALL different! Good luck and God bless both of yall!
