oops...Sorry....Introduction?

I should've said a little bit about me before jumping right in. I am 34, married, have 3 boys 16,14,& 8. I have been overweight as long as I can remember. Just over the past couple years, I put on more weight...10lbs here, 5lbs there...adds up quickly. I have been on OH for months. I really enjoy reading everyones experiences and seeing the before and after pictures. It's just amazing. I started my journey in August. Got my seminar date and then made my nutrition & phych appointments. I am really hoping to have this surgery to have a chance at a healthy normal life. I can't remember when I ever wanted anything as much as I do this.

Hi Barb and welcome to the board. Maybe they will submit for insurance approval while you are doing the 6 month nutrition visits and then it wouldn't seem so long. I began this process in May and I am approved and scheduled for surgery on Feb 27,2006. I hear you when you say this is something you want so bad. I feel the same way. I am hoping they do that too, but I think the nutritionist has to "clear" me first. I am very headstong with this so I know I will be ok. I just hope the time flies. Thank you for the warm welcome and the best of luck to you with your journey too.
