I'm Home
Hi all,
I'm home -- came home late yesterday afternoon. I'm doing good. Definitely have incision pain and tylenol with codeine is not as good as the stuff they give you at the hospital. Everyone has been so supportive. My angel, Gia, came to visit me in the hospital -- it was so nice to meet her and she brought me the cutest pink stuffed poodle to hold on my stomach when coughing or riding in the car. I must say I've been carrying it with me wherever I go -- to the couch -- to the bed -- the kids want her when I'm healed. I've been doing my walking -- was walking 4 hours after surgery -- I always follow directions well LOL. But I'm sure it's why I felt so good. I wanted to stay in the hospital an extra day just to get the rest and pain meds -- but alas dr. said no go -- you're doing well -- we need to send you home (that's what I get for following instructions so well LOL). Overall I feel great just waiting for the discomfort to go away. Everything I've eaten so far has been o.k. except jell-o (go figure). I've had soups, pudding, ice-pops etc. and all staying down o.k. But the funny thing is I took a nap earlier -- I didn't feel good -- had a low grade fever -- and I had a food dream -- and of all the things I could choose to eat in a dream I dreamt of sabrett hotdogs with mustard and onions, soda, & chips. Now if you asked me what I'd like to eat -- that definitely would have been low on my list. Go figure. Anyway enough of my rambling -- I want to thank everyone for all there support and for posting on my support page - it means alot and I'm grateful for all the prayers and love.
Thanks so much
Debbie

Hi Debbie,
Glad to see you home but I am concerned about your fever. You really should not have a low-grade fever. I would call up your surgeon and let him now this and what other things you are feeling ok? I am sure it probably is nothing but you dont want take the risk though. Take care.

OH how funny, I have had food dreams too! I was eating my favorite ethnic foods and then realized I couldn't eat them so I spit them out into a garbage can before swallowing...
The next day I dreamt of a tuna sandwich with pickles... only that time I took a quick bite and swallowed and then was worried I might have hurt something.
Good to know I'm not the only one dreaming like this!
WELCOME HOME!!

Debbie,
Glad to hear you are feeling good ~hugs~ I am with Tavia if you still have this today I would just call the Dr to make sure that is ok. Gia did an awesome job on keeping us updated about you. You have a great Angel there
Now make sure you are drinking and getting your rest Even though you feel good make sure you rest. And I have to ask WHY would you WANT to stay in the hospital one more day??????? I was soooo ready to RUN out of there...
I had dreams in the begining as well, I was nervous about trying new things and in my dreams I would eat something and then swallow like normal, I would panic becuase I knew I had to chew, chew, chew now... O well......
I am glad all is well hun ~Hugs~
