Miss you ladies...

Hey Everyone, I went back to work this week and have not been able to get online. They are trying kill me at work already. Getting ready for the holiday season.... Just wanted to share this funny story. First day back I got all the "hey you look great". Many thank you's later, I am about to got have lunch. I sit down with my chicken noodle soup. And the room is super quit. Everyone is watching me it. One brave soul says.... " What CAN"T you eat. Five minutes later I got the same question again and again and again. I don't mine anwsering the questions cause I feel some people are uneducated about what it is to have gastric bypass. Many have ask me if I am eating baby food...lol Other then that... I am doing well and everyone else is doing as well.

I had the same thing when I was just out of surgery...all the questions (100x over)...luckily I work in a very small office and don't have to encounter too many people..We have a full kitchen where I prepare anything I am going to eat and then I eat at my desk at my leisure...the questions come from outside my office. glad you're doing well... Ladrika, Hun get used to it because I think it happens for a while, I am almost 5 months out and I STILL get those questions.. and the one thing I really can not stand is they watcht to see how much you eat and if it is good for you. They like saying stuff like "do you really want to eat that?" and the food is protein.. They just don't know but I have passed one some knowlege here at work already. HI Ladrika It good to here that you are doing well.You know i think everybody goes through with this.You know this happen to me,first they say"oh you look great".Second then they ask you"how much did you loose".I didn't mind anwsering the question but it became a repetative question.And third at breakfast or lunch they whatch you like your an alien.One co-worker whatch me a full hour and had the nerve to say I eat to slow.So I educated her why i had to eat slow.They think you have to eat baby food for the rest of our life.I explained what I can eat or what I can't eat. There isnt a day that goes by that someone doesnt say some sort of ignorant comment. They really dont mean harm but like you just they are just uneducated and ignorant about gastric bypass, that is all. I have had everything under the moon retarded said to me in the passed 9 months. I think the stupid thing said to me was last time I took a CT-Scan the tech said to me, "why did you have gastric bypass, you are so skinny!" It's like, "uh hello?" Tavia
