Have you ever noticed that each dr. is different..............

have you all noticed that each dr is extremely different as far as how long to wait before eating regular foods, and about bowel prep before surgery, whether to go on liquids before surgery.................it's just wierd that there seems to be no guidelines, it's just your surgeons beliefs!!! oh well, have a great day.................................... Lisa, Yes different Dr's have different rules they like to go by, I guess there is no golden book for WLS so they do that their experience tells them to. We have to believe and trust that is the best of us. ~hugs~ Debra P 285/202/125??

I think debra nailed it on the head. THATS why the surgeon you choose you must have full trust in. AS they all have different theories and methods. I think in the end thank god we all meet our dreams and goals and thats the best. BUT this board does show the different doctors have different methods. LISA

I think it's good that each doctor is different. That way everybody can share different experiences and insights. I have learned so much from other people and others have learned from me. I know my doctor does things different and I'm OK with that. I went and saw 3 different doctors before I chose Dr. Artuso. It's all about who you trust with your life.
