Literally!! My feet are constantly COLD! \ I can't sleep at night unless I put on a pair of sox and and extra blanket to cover them! I am just wondering--does anyone else have this problem???? It is the craziest thing --I can't seem to get my feet warm at night! Not only do I suffer from cold feet--but I walk around wearing a sweater almost all the time and I feel like I am catching a cold --sneezing and sniffing constantly! I use to feel the cold easily --but since the surgery -- I have the coldest feet in the world. Is it just me??? or do others suffer from the cold too??

Hi Marian, I am usually cold. I put the heat on full blast over here and my poor husband sweats. My hands are especially cold. Well if you feel like you can be getting sick then call your doctor let him now. Coming out of a major surgery not too long along you just want to be careful. Do you get any cramps in your feet or legs by the way? I am getting sick as well. Tis the season for it! Hope you feel better soon. Tavia

Hi Marian - Immediately post-op I had very, very cold feet. I get them once in a while now (3 weeks out). I have noticed that once I eat my protein, about half an hour later they warm up again. My hands get get cold more often now as well. Hope you get some toasties socks! Mary

Hi Marian, I'm 5 months out and I'm a member of the cold feet club too. My hands are like ice too. I'm freezing all the time now and was never cold before WLS. I saw my surgeon last Thursday and mentioned it to her. She said it's a normal thing with rapid weight loss and that it should level off in a year or so. Some days I don't need to exercise with all the shivering I do. I also have been sleeping in a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I also have the sniffling. Crazy huh??? Oh well it's worth it. Have a great day. Only 5 more months till Spring. Cindee 310/238/?

Marian, yes I am a member of the cold feet and hands club also... I know that is normal to some degree but my cuz felt it a lot and when her iron was checked it was really low so I am having my blood done next weekend so see if that is adding to this. Did you have your levels checked yet? Sometimes that is a sign of low iron but it can also be because of the weight loss, less face it, we are shrinking and so is the fat we had to keep us warm. Well take care hun ~hugs~ Debra P 285/207/125??
