I was wondering why a surgeon that was on the baraitric surgeon list (on this site) for N.Y. is now not on the list? I checked this morning...I was thinking of using him as my surgeon; and now he's not on the list. Is this a bad thing? Susan Marie

Susan Marie, A while back I noticed one that left and then came back again but I don't know why I am not sure if that is good or bad, just research the surgeon and take it from there. I wish you all the best in your journey ~hugs~ Debra P 285/207/125??

Susan Marie - I know that there are some things on here, site wise, that are goofy - there used to, for example, be a message board for my surgeon - it's been gone now for over 12 months, and we haven't been able to 'get it fixed'.. *sigh/shrug*. You could always do a bigger search or try to find a patient that had that surgeon, then backtrack on the links - just because they aren't in the list doesn't mean that there isn't stuff about them somewhere on here - that's how I get back to the other patients that had the same surgeon as I did. (go to my profile, then click on the doctors name). Good luck - ...Nick

is it a bad thing ? not necessarily...... you must remember this is the internet .....a lot of things posted here aren't regulated. if you are familiar with this board, you know it not unusual from time to time that patients bash their surgeon. every time you submit a post, there is a disclaimer from obesityhelp saying they aren't liable/ responsible for what members post. i agree with the poster who said your best bet is to email the doctor's patients. just introduce yourself and tell them you are looking to have surgery with dr xyz and asks them to share their opinion /experience with that particular surgeon. donna open rny mar 18 2003 282/140/135
