Hi Debra This is why I posted this article because I TOO am one of those "OBSESSED" daily scale watchers. Guess it has its advantages to daily weigh-ins. Your Welcome! Hugs Marianne 265/150/140?

As a Pre-Op, I always hated weighing in everyday. Whenever I dieted no matter what type of diet it was, whenever I weighed myself on a daily basis I made myself crazy. One day up a pound, one day down a pound... I always found it better to weigh myself once a week like in weigh****chers. Daily weigh ins were way too frustrating.

Thank you for the article! I can't seem to stop weighing myself--even though everyone has told me that I shouldn't! But I guess that is better to be obsessed than fat! Be Blessed, Marian S.C.

thanks for the article. i used to weigh myself everyday, but everyone told me i was too weight obsessed, so i cut down to 3 times a week. the ironic thing is when i was in my losing phase i didn't own a scale so i could only weigh in once a month at my doctor's office. my thought is that it is easier to deal with a 5 pound weight gain versus a 10 pound. donna open rny mar 18 2003 282/140/135

I weight myself everyday but the weigh-in on Monday morning is the number I use as a gauge.

WOW! The reactions to this article are quite a mix! I have to admit that I am a DAILY SCALE VISITOR! I find that if I weigh myself daily I can watch and make sure that a 3 pound increase does not lead to 10. I can usually associate the increase with an unusual intake of salt the day before or if salt is not the issue I can get back on track by being extra cautious with what I put in my mouth. I know that my weight will fluctuate a pound or two and have no problem with accepting this. I use the daily weigh ins as MY TOOL to maintaining a successful weight loss and goal. Hugs Marianne
