1 week post-op

Just came back from the surgeons office for the post-op gallbladder surgery last week. I am down 5.5 pounds since last friday. ick. He doesnt seem to concerned about my weight. This is what I signed up for, you know, but its not like I want to turn sideways and disappear! Anyway, Going back in a month to see him b/c he wants everything to settle. He wants me to get off all of my pills expect for the pepcid. He said I'm taking too many kinds which can have the opposite effect. He said he wants to revise my open scar b/c its a mess. He also will look to see if I have a insicional herna and will fix it if I do. We will discuss when to do this next appt. All I have to say about that is, oh my goodness. Too many "eyes" around here to say anything more. And do you know he has the nerve to say I'm his #2 favorite patient? I would like to see what #1 has on me. (Kidding of course.) I hate this weather, I feel like I'm freezing to death over here! My stupid phone/cable modem keeps on going off and on so If I disappear for awhile dont think I'm dead. Take care everyone! Tavia

Tavia, Hun so good that you are doing well but what the f@#k, more surgery for the "messy" scar and possible hernia (sp?)????? hun I said RUN.... shhhhhhh yeah to many eyes.... Deb, I feel so much better after that stupid gallbladder is out. BE GONE GALLBLADDER!! What a stupid organ. I am such a mess, its funny. He wants to revise my scar b/c I know he just feels so bad for me. He will pull some skin off as well he said. After all, I am his #2 fav patient. Tavia

Hi Tavia It's good to her from you .I"m glad that everything went ok and this will be the last of it we hope.Has eating food been ok,are you having any pain anymore.Hope not.Just checking to see how thing are with you. Been in a blah mood everything is bother me the weather,my family,my job I just don't want to be bother by anything.I feel like I'm a robot.Get up go work come home go sleep,think I need a vacation but dont have the time build at work.Since I been back a month.Sorry just want to vent. Your right this weather is driving me crazy,I'm cold all the time never been like this before. I was alway hot even striping into tee shirt when hot.I wear 2 tee shirt and thick sweather now I don't know what I'm going to do when it get really cool ha!ha! Hi Claire, Thanks for responding. I do have some aches and pains but mind you I had pretty much back to back surgeries the last few weeks. I am going to give it a couple of weeks so how I am. I am eating better but not like I should. I have to try to keep some weight on(if you can believe that). I guess that when i get to 100% and eat like I should be eating my weight will keep better and I wont look like the night of the living dead. Thanks again for all of your support, it means a lot. Hi Tavia, I can't call you--my phone has been dead since the ninth and the phone company says it won't be fixed until tomorrow --I hope. This weather does stink--and I think that we are all stuck in the house--and I am freezing too! I really pray that you don't have to have any more procedures.You have been through enough. Keep us posted--I hope that your computer isn't connected to a phone line--the only thing that is keeping me sane is the fact that the computer is connected to the cable. Hey Marian, My phone and computer at both hook up to the cable modem so when it goes out, everything goes out. They are back and running so I am guessing the rain just messed them up for awhile. My cable TV was messed up a couple of days ago as well. How are you feeling? Getting anything down? I am doing pretty ok, considering what shape I was in before. Thanks for asking. I really want to go back to school for a ph.d but I am debating when, I am guessing I will go back probably in the spring if I feel a lot better. I am skipping getting a masters b/c its a waste of time for me. Most film schools will consider(not necessarily accept) people w/just BFA if they know what they are talking about and come highly recommended. I am starting to fill out applications but question my health. We will see. Take care! Tavia

Hi Linda!!!!! How are you holding up? I stopped w/the pills and I am feeling better. You know that gallbladder is one evil body organ. I know that was a problem now for me, what a bother!
