Sore on my left side.

I am 3 weeks out today. I am still a bit sore on my left side where most of the work was done. I also seem to be a bit swollen there as well. Normal? Erin

Hi Erin, I am two weeks out and I am sore at the staple sites--I was told that it takes a while for everything to heal. So I guess that it is pretty normal--but --like my surgeon says--if you have any doubts or questions call and get an expert opinion. Never take chances--the only reason that I don't call is that I just got my staples out on Monday. My surgeon told me to remember that I am healing inside as well as outside. But yes --it is uncomfortable! Anyone else have any expertise or advice for both of us??? In any case , I really hope that you feel better soon! Be Blessed Marian S.C.

Erin, Hun I was sore for a while there myself, I also had the weirdest feeling in my skin. It was from the nerves healing and it felt so weird, I did not even like the feeling of a shirt rubbing against it. If you are concered you can always email Dr Garber, he will get back to you within 24 hrs and if he feels that you need to be looked at he will let you know. Take care Debra P 285/210.5/125??

I was sore for about 5 weeks-- My surgeon said it was normal, because the muscles need to knit back together (that's why they tell you not to pick up anything heavy for six weeks). Hang in there, it gets SO much better

hey its my erin!! hey girly girl i love ya and im so glad to see you are doing well i was sore for about 2 weeks. your left side alwyas hurts more because thats where the biggest incision was. it will go away
