Hey Everybody.... Miss yall much. Yesterday I went to get the staples out and to my (not ) surprise the doctor was not there. Some "emengency" . That's the Cori Center for ya (wink @ lisa) I did get to weigh myself and I lost another 9 lbs. That is 21.4 in total. I am so happy. I can't wait to get to the gym and really work it out. Eating is still ok. I have not vomited once thank God. But I really don't have taste bud. Did this happen to any of you guys. I actually had an egg the other day. But I truly didn't enjoy it. My nurtionist said I can now up my menu to puree foods. I can't see myself stick greens in a blender so if anybody got any good rescipes (sp) let me know. Thanks La Drika

THAT definititely got to have been frustrating to have happen. I imagine you have to go back another time to have the staples removed...i would be livid if that happened to me as when i come to the doctor is a hardship to my business. THE good thing is my surgeons office is attached to the back of the hospitol so he juggles his emergencies and patients very well this way. EVEN met me at the ER the other day. ITS hard but im glad to hear of your LOSS LADRIKA and hope your staples come out soon. YOU mention going to the gym and working out hard. I know i was not cleared for WORKING out till 3 months post op. OUR stomachs may feel good but need very long to heal especially to avoid giving our selves a hernia. BE careful and mention to your doctor the kind of working out u want to start up with! GOOD LUCK and welcome to the wonderfull looseing side! LISA

Ladrika, Congrats on your weight loss hun.... awesome.. I did notice that my taste buds did not feel right at the beginning but it seems to be coming back over this last month, I am months out now! Give it time hun, they will come back but still some things really do change and you will not like them like you used to, sometimes that is a good thing. Well I wish you all the best hun and take your time before working out to make sure you are all healed... ~hugs~ Debra P 285/210.5/125??

3 weeks already???? Well you go girl! And don't be in such a hurry - taste will return soon enough. Take this break to start making yourself sample menus for when you do start eating and begin to develop the new eating habits that will keep you streamlined! Good luck and God bless!
