More waiting???
Hi everyone i just received a call from the Cori center and they said that my surgery date may be postponed ..Im not very happy right now but i will just have to hang in there. I am supposed to find out on Monday what is happening. There is something going on with the schedule is what they said. I was really set on Oct 18th, say a prayer for me that it dosent change ....thanks...............
THATS the most difficult thing when dates need to change. I had to put my first surgery date out one week because now one ended up beign availalbe to tend my kids the week i first had. I told people for months i wanted surgery during that month then it was booked everyone was busy go figure.....
but thank heavens it was only one week out. AT the time that was so frustrating. OF course in the end the date i had was much better being my dad passed on 2 weeks before my surgery. IT would have been one week and the stress of his passing put my blood pressure up over the edge so i need time to get on meds and control it for the surgery.
SO keep positive my point is things happen for good reasons!
I know right now its the main thing on your mind wanting to be on the other side, but you WILL get there soon enough! ALl the best keep us posted
lisa
Lisa,
I am sorry to hear about a possible postponment on your surgery!
I am sure it must be taking quite a toll on your mental state !
Thats to say the least! You are suppose to have your surgery on the same day as I am suppose to have my long awaited consult with my surgeon, which by the way was cancelled 2x already !
That was frustrating enough for me ! I can't imagine how you and others feel when their surgery dates are at risk of being cancelled or cancelled completly!
Hang in there sweetie! Think positive ! I will say a prayer for you that your surgery takes place as scheduled. Say a prayer for me too ! Hopefully I have my consult on Oct. 18th !
Take Care....

Carol
Thanks Lisa and Carol....I am trying to keep a positive attitude. I am just so tired of waiting....makes you go nuts. Lisa i will say a prayer that you get your consult in....its not right that they do this to people. I am a registered nurse so i understand that things happen that are beyond our control..but it still stinks...lol THanks to you all you are always so positive and helpful.
I found a np who works with the hospital where I had surgery who has been amazing with me. Apparently I am not the only "CORI casualty" she sees. As for surgeons, that's another story altogether. Surgeons really do not want to touch you once you've had surgery. That issue is far more difficult. That is the area that frightens me, because in case anything goes wrong I really have no MD to take care of me. CORI just left me wayyyyyy out there on my own.
