I'm Backkkkkkkkkk.... miss yall much!!!!

Hey Everyone!!!! I finally felt good enough to get to a PC. ( Don't have one at home). My surgery went very well. The nurses at Brookhaven are the best. They treated me real good ( my sister would not have it any other way). I am now 8 day post-op ...lol I thought I would never say that. I was so prepared for this that I forgot about all the pain. Open Gastric Bypass was no joke. But everyday I get up a little better and I walk a little better. My kids have been very helpful around the house. My 15 yr. old actually help me get dressed a couple time. I went for my 1st checkup on yesterday they took out half my staples and I lost 12 lbs. My new doctor said most people lose 10 the first week. I told him I'm not like most people..lol Thank you ladies for all the lovely email and post. I tell all my family about my friends at obesityhelp.com

Ladrika, CONGRATS ON BEING A LOSER !!!! !!!!! Glad to hear that you are doing better everyday ! 12 LBS !!!! That is awesome !!!!! You GO GIRL !!!!! I can't wait to beable to say that I am post op either ! I know exactly how you feel ! Seems like your never gonna get there ! It is wonderful that your family is right there to help you. Welcome back Ladrika, I am eight days post -op too. I had a by-pass too--but mine was laproscopic--I get my staples out next Monday--So I have no idea how much or how little I have lost. You are doing GREAT!!!! In any case, let's be happy that we are on the other side of surgery and on our way to the land of "Losers" try to eat your vitamins, protein and drink your water and most of all BE BLESSED, Marian S.C.

Good for you, Ladrika! I know how hard you fought to get here. My personal view is that stapling people instead of stitching oughta be against the law and I am thankful every day that Dr. C was excellent at embroidery! Good luck, God bless and welcome to the Loser's Club
