I have no clue if I need one or not. No, I really can't eat that much food but I do feel hungry in about 2.5-3 hrs. I can eat a lot of salad and yogurt if I wanted to but regular food is just a few bites and I am done. But I still get hungry. What do you think? Gabby 241/201/130

Hi Gabby I think the guy who works with me says he doctor says to go every 3 to 4 months for a fill.....but it doesn't sound like you need a fill cause you should be eating every 3 to 4 hours.....and if you are getting hungry every 2.5 to 3 hours you are right on time.....see lap band doesn't stop you from being hungry but it does stop you from over eating.....which is a good thing,...,, You should call you surgeon and ask him these questions......I wish you luck in your journey.....keep us posted.... Gabby, Hun I am not sure but as Christine said calling your surgeon might be a good idea, also you can check/post on the Lap Band board. That might get you more info as well. ~Hugs~ Take care and I wish you well.... Debra P 285/215/125??

Gabby - you should definately check with your dr, but as far as I know we lapbanders are supposed to stay full for more than 2-3 hrs. Are you making sure not to drink liquids with your meals (at least an 1 - 1 /2 hrs later)? Are you drinking 64oz water/day. Also the reason you can eat the yogurt easier is because its slips through the band where solid foods take longer so you get full faster. I am still pretty new at this and I have had 2 fills already. Feeling a little restriction now but definately need another fill in a few wks. GOod luck and hop on over to the lapband board, there are a lot of successful experienced bandsters who can answer your questions. Dee
