Hi everyone. I am finsing it EXTREMELY hard to wake up in the morning without my coffee and the decaf coffee tastes gross to me. I am doing well with my liquids and am wondering if having 1 cup in the morning will be ok. I e-mailed my nutritionist to see what she thinks. Do any of you still drink coffee????

I drink two cups of coffee a day, I can not go without it. The way I see it, If that is the worst thing Im doing then Im doing OK. But find out what your nutritionist says....My doctor did not object as long as I get my water in as well. Kimberly 238/170/150

Hi Erin, I don't think my nut & surgeon were too keen on coffee early on. But I recently started having one in the morning, but don't fini**** usually because it smells so good!!! And I missed it sooooo much! Linda

I am a TIM HORTON's coffee addict... I have not given it up.. have had it since day 3 Post Op... and with Reg sugar...SHAME ON ME... I usually sip it all day long along with other liquids.. NO problems- lost 49 lbs in 9 weeks...and still losing.. I told the Phys Assistant at my chekc up I drink coffee - he looked at me like I was a nut and said he does too... go figure all are different. My support group is against it but those of who do drink it sit together.. I think it is up to each ind and instructions given. I am fortunate ( I think) I do not dump on sugar. I try to use splenda at home - drink de caf yuck at home and add Splenda to my protein shakes. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO AM- I HAVE TO HAVE A CUP OF TIM's !!! Pattiann
