Roll Call Happy Tuesday

Hi Christine, Glad to have you back here with us ! Sorry to hear about your sister and your mom. They as well as you are in my thoughts and prayers . I have lost so many people in my family to cancer so I very well know what you are going through. It is hard on both you and the one that has it . You have alot to deal with right now, but know this .... WE are all here for you if you ever need to chat or vent. You can also feel free to email me as well. How is you foot doing? Is it healing up okay? I hope so ! It must be a lil hard for you to get around to all theses Dr. appts. with just having the surgery and all . Hang in there sweetie! Well it is turning out to be a nice day here in my lil ole town of Fort Plain ! The fog has finally lifted and we are getting some sunshine ! I was suppose to have my consult with my surgeon on Sept. 22 nd but I got a call from his office the day before and they canceled it ! BUMMER ! Then they rescheduled me for the 30th then cancelled that too ! So now I am scheduled for OCT. 18th ! Wish me luck!!! Hopefully they let me keep it! I just want so much to get the ball rolling ....ya know? Well that is as far as I have gotten on my journey ! Again it is soooo nice having you back with us ! I am praying for all of you to have strength to endure in such difficult time ! Take Care and keep in touch ! & , Carol

Carol thank you so much for your kind words.....it really mans alot to me......cancer shows no prejudice to the human race......so we all must keep ourselves healthy..... I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you to have your appointment with your surgeon and yes I can relate to get the ball on the road..... Hi Christine, Sorry to hear about your sister and mom. I wa**** with some bad news recently, besides one of my bosses passing away at the end of July which was a shocker (suicide) and now a close friend who went to Mexico for surgery (not WLS) died of complications not related to the surgery last week. So I am trying to focus on my recovery and exercise to get me through this. Hope the weather clears up, its overcast here in NYC. Quiet in the office today. Have a good day all! Dee

Dee I'm so sorry to hear your tragic news....you know the truth is it i****ting everyone......and all we can do is take it one day at a time and hope for the best.....What kind of surgery did your friend have......send me and e-mail and let me know what happened....I'm so sorry.....it's always hard to lose a loved one...... HI CHRISTINE I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR SISTER AND YOUR MOTHER. I HOPE THAT EVERYTHING WORKS OUT WELL FOR ALL OF YOU. I KNOW HOW THAT GOES AND IT'S NOT EASY. SO I AM WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST. IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO FOR YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW. AS FAR AS ME I AM DOING GREAT I AM BUYING CLOTHES EVERY MONTH. BECAUSE THEY JUST KEEP GETTING LOOSE ON ME I WENT FROM A SIZE 26 TO A SIZE 18. I AM SMALLER ON TOP I WENT FROM A 3X TO 14/16 IN SHIRTS AND CAN WEAR SOME X-LARGE. FOR SOME REASON THE WOMEN IN MY FAMILY HAVE BIGGER HIPS AND THIGHS MUST BE FROM MY MOMS SIDE THERE SICIALIAN. BUT I AM 3MONTHS NOW AND I HAVE LOST 71 POUNDS AND I FEEL LIKE A MILLION BUCKS!!!!! WELL CHRISTINE GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU AND REMEBER IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO FOR YOU LET ME KNOW. Hi, Newbie to this board here. Sorry to hear about your family. Hope all goes well. I am just over 2 yrs po, open rny. I weighed 290lbs day of surgery, lost 110lbs in 8 mths but have now gained 11lbs back. I am going through a stressful time myself. Will write about it in another post. Joy Welcome to the NY board and welcome to roll call.... 2 years post op that is wonderful......so Congratulations on your weight lose......you did very well......now those demans those 11 pounds.....you are aware of it.....just go back to basics.....protiens water excercise......low carbs low carbs low carbs.....I'm sure it wont take you long to lose it again.....so don't beat your self up about it cause now you can do something about it,......soups, yogurts, string cheese, fish, salad, veggies always remember to eat the protiens first then the veggies then the starch..... Hi Christine, Im feeling better and have lost 64lbs so far. Im feeling better but I still get sore now and then. Im fighting with some head hunger but overall I am well. Louis
