one week post-op visit...again

Hey everyone!
Well, I went for my post-op visit today and unfortunately Dr. Gellman was called in for an emergency today, so I got to speak with Dr. Gadaleta.
At first when Dr. Gadaletta entered the room, he was taken aback and clearly exaggerated his surprise upon seeing me. He said that I had looked phenomenal compared to when he last saw me. He says he knows how much i love dr. gellman but will send him my best. Dr.Gadaleta said he actually came into the OR when I was being operated on last week to help and to check on larry(dr. Gellman). I was like well I had guests and I didnt even know it! He seems to always seems to be lurking in the background)
He told me that my blood in my throw up probably was just me gagging too hard and to stay away from salads for awhile. He said to try to stay away from left-over foods b/c they can be hard to digest on my pouch. He said to try some peppermint oil to help w/my nausea. (Don't ask me that is what he said.)
He told me that he knows that Dr.Gellman wanted to look at my gallbladder closer and that Dr. Gellman wanted to send me for a nuclear test on it. So I called up North Shore Imaging and they told me that I needed my health insurance companies approval first and then I have to resigter at the hosptial as an outpatient b/c I have to go to the nuclear medicine section of the hospital to get it done. They also said they want a copy of a c-scan sent to them before hand. They put me in for the 11th. I have an appt w/Gellman on the 14th.
Oh boy I know I am going to be running around like a chicken w/my head cut off the next couple of weeks but what can you do? You have to do what you have to do, you know? Anyway, take care everyone!

Sorry I missed your call last night and it was late by the time I got home...
Hun I am glad that it went ok today but I guess hearing you have to go for more test really stinks...I hope your gallbladder is ok because I know the thought of another surgery stinks... ~hugs~

It's ok you missed my call. I just didnt want you to call me b/c I have unlimited calls so I figured I would just call you!
At this point, I pretty much dont care what they want me to do, I am used to it all by now. I just want to get healthy and feel better. I am getting more food in now so I am glad about that, but I am getting really sick of being point here and there for answers. It's like now all of a sudden my gallbladder is the problem? 
I am just not looking forward to this nuclear test, it just sounds like such a headache to get done. They tech. said on the phone that they actually enlarge my gallbladder w/some dye and the whole test takes a couple of hours to do. I am not sure I understand completely what they are going to do but I will just lie there and think happy thoughts!
I am not going to worry about it right now and will just enjoy my weekend! Have a good day!
