Wow!! ten days till surgery.
I can not believe I have made it through all the pre-op testing and Medifast. Well, I am not done with the Medifast, I still have 10 days left. I reached my goal of 10% in three weeks but Christine @ Dr. Clarke's / Dr. Lirio's office still wants me to continue till my surgery on 10/10/05. Christine called today to tell me that I have a bladder infection that needs to be gone before the surgery. That was after my pcp told me that if the poison ivy (which I've had for 1wk) is not gone, she will revoke her medical release for surgery. I new everything was going too smooth. I will take any ideas on how to get of poison Ivy. I'm on my 2nd round of Predinsone, use hydrocortisone cream & Caladrly every 4hrs. My mother-in-law thinks that this was God's way of saying this isn't my time for surgery. I'm praying all will clear up quickly and God will lead the way.
Just a little nervous, my friend/buddy had her surgery on Monday. I visited her @ at ellis hospital and have talked to her everyday. She's doing great, very tired. We have gone to every appointment, blood test, and all the other tests together. She's rooting for me, so is my husband.
I would love to hear any suggestions.

Becky,
Hun I do not have advice on the ivy thing but I do have to agree that things happen for a reason so hang in there and when God says it is time, it will be time. ~hugs~
Take care

Most important is to dry it out and do not rub it. Take a bath in Epsom Salts. Do not towel dry yourself. Air dry or use a blow drier. Towel drying only keeps spreading it if there is any oozing. Then dab with a cloth with some bleach on it. The bleach will probably smart if its really open.Sounds crazy You can also add a little to bath water. I like to dab it on. It actually feels refreshing. Then leave it alone. In 24 hours you will be amazed at how dry it will be. Repeat this until gone. It works, trust me. Good luck! let me know.
