HURRAY for ME!

I got approved for my abdominoplasty!!! My surgeon who did my gastric bypass is also doing my TT. It will be sometime in November. They sent in to info for approval on monday and i thought it would be denied because my PCP would not write me a letter because she said back pain is not caused by excess skin! I was thinking it wouldn't happen but i got the call today!!!! Michele 338/148/130ish

Has your surgeon done alot of tummy tucks? Why aren't you seeing a plastic surgeon? My gastric bypass surgeon didn't even want to do my hernia repair let alone a tummy tuck. These are just my thoughts. I don't mean to be negative in any way. Joanne

I actually went to a plastic surgeon who I thought was very nice and professional. i went there thinking I wanted a belt lipectomy and he told me that the best surgery would be a TT with an anchor cut due to where my excess skin is. They next day was my 1 year check up with the surgeon who did my gastric bypass. i told him that I saw a plastic surgeon and he said he could do my TT, he looked at my skin and said the same thing as the plastic surgeon about the anchor cut. He has been doing plastic surgery (TT with or without hernia repair for a very long time) He is a close friend of my mothers and I trust him completely therefore I decided to go with someone I knew I had faith in. he also did my sister's TT with hernia repair 4 years ago and it looks great. I guess all surgeon's are different in what they will or will not do. I just feel more comfortable with the surgeon who i owe my weight loss success to. Michele 338/148/130ish
