BCBS through union?

Anyone in here have 32bj doormans union? I have empire bcbs through them and i am waiting on insurance approval. Just wondering how long it took....Im sitting here chewing off my nails waiting....

Hi Lisa, I have their insurance also Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield and have been waiting for approval close to six weeks i believe... The nurse at my surgeons office said they were a good insurance but took several weeks with their approvals. I'm scheduled for surgery on Oct 12 so hopefully ill be hearing something soon or my surgery will have to be rescheduled. Its been 8 months since I started the whole process /initial visit with my surgeon Dr Herron so im really getting anxious here. Let us know how it goes. Lisa
