Any support groups in my area?

Hi all!!!! I am wondering if there are any support groups in my area...I live in Riverdale (NW corner of the Bronx) and can go in Manhattan or Yonkers-I drive. Please let me know...my center and surgeon have basically abandoned and I know I need the support...Thanks so much, Suzanne

Hiya Suzanne, I read your profile where you talk about what happened to your surgeon and the office he was with - big bummer I had my surgery at Westchester Medical Center and my surgeon's office is right there in Valhalla. Dr. Cerabona and the other doctors in the group are all extremely experienced in lap band. Maybe they will take you on for follow up care. They do have support groups out of that office as well. Suzanne, There is support group that meets at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers on the third Thursday of every month. The next meeting is Oct. 20th. Joanne
