Hi Deb (and everyone else),
Sorry I didn't post yesterday - I was out of work but was volunteering at the big Ronald McDonald House ABC sale here in Rochester so my eating wasn't very good so here goes.
B - Carnation Instant Breakfast
S - Water
L - Water
S - Water
D - Spinach salad w/grilled chicken (Uno's)
S - ff pretzel sticks
Carol - that big Mac attack got me too - and I'm not even fond of MacDonalds - I'd rather have Burger King or Wendy's. Cravings haven't been too bad but when they do rear their ugly heads, I think of my new favorite saying (someone posted it on the site and I love it) - NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS. If that still doesn't work, I order a grilled chicken sandwich, take about 2-3 bites then toss the bread and tomato (tomato bothers me) and just eat the chicken and lettuce.
To everyone: have a wonderful weekend. (I will - I'm going to my work clambake tonight [for sure I'll need a doggie bag] and to the Buffalo Bills game on Sunday to watch them WIN).
Take care,
Cindee

Cindee,
Hun I have to ask you something? I hear so many can eat clams without problems and I just love them but how does that work since you really do not chew them that much, how do they do down? I was worried about trying them but just LOVE them.....
I sure hope you have a great time tonight...
Take care and have a great weekend...
Debra P
Debra,
I love clams too so I tried one clam at my dad's a couple of weeks ago and it settled fine - I'll let you know more on Monday. The clambake also comes with a shrimp ****tail (I've eaten shrimp many times since surgery and that settles just fine), clam chowder, cheese and crackers, chicken, salt potatoes, salad and dessert bar. I know I won't eat even an 1/8 of it but figure I can take most home. I'll probably try a couple of clams, maybe some cheese and few bites of chicken. Haven't tried anything with sugar so know I won't try the dessert bar.
There's also going to be a DJ so I'll just have to get up and dance. Now that I'm single again, I've been going out with several girlfriends every weekend to listen to bands and we've all been dancing. Pre-op I could only dance to 3-4 songs a set but the past couple of weeks I've danced so much that friends were commenting on it. No more knee or back problems.
I'm so happy that I had the surgery. Can't recall ever feeling this good.
You have such a way of encouraging everyone and I say "hats-off" to you. It's great to have such "friends" to chat with and who understand what you're going through.
Have a wonderful weekend.
