any advice on the Psych consult??

Having my psych consult tomorrow and would like any advice about it.They say it is 3 hours.Any info would be great....Patsy

I wish I could give you some advice. I had my consult today and it took all of 10 minutes. The psychologist asked me some questions and I just answered them honestly. He cleared me to have surgery. Goodluck to you. Elizabeth

Hi Patsy, Just be Honest--that's the best advice anyone can give or get! I had a psych evaluation and it lasted two hours--after which the psychologist advised me that I needed to address several issues --and that I would have to see a psychologist at least twelve times before I would be cleared for surgery --Well ,at first I was VERY upset! BUT now, I feel that his requirement was the VERY BEST THING THAT HE COULD HAVE DONE FOR ME!8-l I have been able to deal with the issue of surgery, life issues , food issues EVERYTHING! Don't worry --if you have a realistic view of your reasons for having the WLS you will do fine--and in any case --they DO know what they are doing. You will be happy with any decission they make in the end!
