2nd Consult cancelled !

Hi all, Well I just got off the phone with my surgeons office and they cancelled my consult again for September 30 th. I am sooooo very upset right now They now wanted me to come in on October 13th and I said no... as this date a year ago my mom passed away and I don't think that day is a very lucky one for me . So it is now scheduled for October 18 th and hopefully it stays that way ! I am beginning to think that it is'nt meant for me to have this surgery! All I know is my husband can't be there with me when I go b/c they can't seem to stick with a date so my husband can get the day off ! My surgeon himself told me that he wanted my husband there with me so he can inform him also of the major life style changes that I will have to make and to possibly give him some idea of what support that I am gonna need from him throughout my journey ! I met my surgeon through his seminar and that is where I chatted with him about this . Well it looks like I am gonna have to go without him as his work place won't put up with this constant changeing these days off . I thank everyone of you for listening to me vent ! I don't know what I would do without ya's ! & Carol

I am sorry you are having this trouble. I know I have also had trouble with my Dr. office. They couldn't seem to find the psych consult and then told me everything was faxed but it actually wasn't until this morning. It is very stressful. Good luck hope all goes well with you. Hugs Chris

Carol, Hang in there hun, I know this really stinks and it is very upsetting but your time will come and maybe if you talk to your Dr's office you can tell them about the time you husband has to get off for this and maybe they can make your next appt solid.... :shurg: These Dr's offices just do what they want when they want though real emergencys do come up. well take care hun and vent here anytime..... ~hugs~ Debra P

Thanks DEB !!! As far as they are telling me it was not an emergency , just some scheduling problems. I think that is why I am so upset ! If it were do to an emergency then I would understand and deal well with that . But it is'nt and your right they do, do whatever they wish to do ! If they should call and cancel my next scheduled appt. then I will tell them that they need to give a solid date for this appt. Well anyhow thanks for being there and listening !
