Anyone watched this show so far on VH1. Oh my god what a moron Danny Bonaduce is. I cant stand seeing somesome sabotage themselves. I have seen it happen to people in my life but his just takes the cake. It's like get over feeling sorry for yourself and take care of your family. They should be number one in your life, not yourself.
I watched it for the first time last night and I was getting so upse****ching. I was yelling at the TV. My husband told me to calm down so I dont get up heart up too much on the monitor and they will never let me have surgery. But ugh, Danny Bonaduce is such a self-absorbed moron. Sorry had to vent about it. Makes me feel better!

Tavia,
OMG you need to calm yourself girl... Your hubby is right, not when your wearing that monitor. Make sure you note what you were doing at that time so they know...
You are so cute.....Well relax some and yes you are right, he is a little off... The best is when they go on that show called the sureal life (sp?) OMG...
Well take care

Danny Bonaduce is also one other thing you need to realize: he is an ACTOR and he knows how to get responses out of people. Reality TV is NOT real. He used to have a talk show with Dick Clark a couple of years ago where we got to see a more real view of who people might be. I found him to be an articulate, charming, happily married family man.
The thing you have to realize about these "cameras following me around reality shows" is that they are staged. They are so NOT REAL! Responses are gauged, plotted and calculated. Reality isn't what folks want to see and it isn't what truly gets ratings. so relax! You got duped!

I understand he is an actor and I know personally what actors are capable of. I graduated from NYU film school w/a BFA in film production. I also recieved a large grant from Kodak who help me w/my thesis film. I have also worked on two films that were released in theaters. So you can say I know a thing or two about production of film and tv.
"The other half". Just like you said, he is an actor. Actors play to whomever is the audience. If housewifes home at 11:00am are watching then he will be the sweet family man they want to see.

I do understand that but nonetheless it is entertaining. Why do people watch "scary" movies to have that "scared" feeling? I mean they know it isn't real but still watch. Same thing w/watching a annoying child star on tv "ruining" his life. You take it for face value and It's entertaining. Makes me feel like my life could be a lot worse. Entertainment is point of TV and film. Being scared, sad, afraid, annoyed, happy etc are all emotions that TV and film makes us feel even though we know it isnt "real". This show I just so happen to catch really annoyed me but made me feel better about my life and my husband that is for sure.
How marvelous to be a film school graduate! Must really frustrate you to see some of the crap that passes for entertainment when you know from just your education that so much better exists.
And yep - I am so glad I don't feel the need to go on TV like some of these folks and make a total jerk of myself just for the money or the attention. And while I don't have what I want at this time? I sure wouldn't be having that whine in front of national TV!
[just grins big]

Angel,
It's hard for me to watch films especially bad ones. I note all of the shots, camera movements, editing te*****ues, writing points etc. I think to te*****al verus just enjoying a film. TV I can tune out to though. I try to tune it outfilms and just enjoy it but sometimes I cant help it. It gets so bad sometimes I can tell what type of camera they use to do certain shots. My husband tells me to stop showing off.
I did see a great film the other week called "broken flowers" w/bill murray. It was dark funny yet sad. Great acting and direction. I love films but I am difficult person to watch one with.
