5th time is NOT the charm

WHY ME LORD!!! This is what I screamed inside when I picked up the phone after talking to the hospital .... and them telling me that I should at the hospital at 11am. .... 5 minutes later I get a call from the Cori Center and they tell me that I HAVE BEEN CANCELLED AGAIN!!!.... I am so angry that all I could think about is binging after 2 days of jello and juice. They gave me the surgeons cell# and told me to call him directly.... NOW he tell me that he is no longer affliated with the Cori Center. He said he is going to finish "the cases" he started and that he can reschedule me on next tuesday.... What do I do.... I don't want to go back to work.... Can I trust this will go though.... Or should I start looking for another surgeon and do anything all over again... Or do I stay obese and in pain every day of me life????

Oh my goodness Ladrika, you poor thing...that has to be such a let down...and 5x....wow...of course you want to binge...I hope Tuesday works out for you...can you go back to work for the rest of the week? Wishing you all the best... Janean

hey janean.... thanks ... I could but I don't want to... I think I am going to take the rest of the week and work on my spirit. I refuse to let "the ememy" think he got me down ... I came to far. And best of luck with your situation as well.... PS. We are neighbors ..lol

You phone him back and in a very calm tone of voice explain to him that you have taken time off work for this procedure and that each time he cancels, it becomes problematic and you lose both additional vacation and sick time and credibility with your employers when requesting the time off. Then you tell him that you need a definite surgery date before your insurance gives up on you as well. Remind him that you are just a plain ol working class human being. And btw, doesn't Cori have other surgeons who may be willing to take over your case if this guy doesn't get with the program? Good luck and God bless

I agree... and believe me I told him all that and them some in a calm voice (work in retail..lol) I explain to him that this didn't just upset my life schedule but many people around me.... and Cori does have one more sergeon... Dr. sapala who created the micropouch and I was informed yesterday that their is another surgeon that will take care of me after Dr. Schnekt. does the surgery.

I'm sorry hun {{{{{hugs}}}}} why don't you just call the cori-center and talk to them there and see if they can accomidate you since they have canceled so any times.....they do have great surgeons there.....Michael is not the only one there.....please call them and talk to them..... What kind of surgery are you having it is not posted next to your name..... I wish you the best hun.... Christine 346/231/?

Oh my goodness what a nightmare. I personally would find another surgeon b/c that is too careless for my tastes. I am sure you can use another one at the cori center. Dont they had a bunch of them there? At least that why you dont have to send a new surgeon your medical records which takes FOREVER for them to do. I hope everything works out for you and I am sorry you have to wait AGAIN. Tavia
