Marie,
No I am not fine. I am going to have another surgery this thursday to see what is going on with the connection to my pouch to to fix hernias. But thanks caring.
Happy Monday Deb.
I've also been to the festival and love it. Congratulations on your success. Isn't it wonderful when we make the little goals we've set for ourselves????
I was in Lake George for the weekend for Girls Weekend, so my food intake wasn't too good but for the 1st time I bought myself a sweatshirt and it was a size L instead of a 3X. I'm so thrilled.
Here goes my food for yesterday.
B - Cheese
S - 1/2 Protein bar
L - Burger King chicken salad - bread seems to bother me so I only had a couple of bites and then just ate the chicken
D - 1/2 Protein bar, ff pretzels, ff saltine crackers (5)
Decaf coffee and water
Have a great Monday - just think - the work day is almost half over

Debbie;
I had a very disappointing weekend. I had that EDG or whatever on Friday. The surgeon told me that I have a very bad case of reflux and she also took a bioposy (I do not know what for). She put me on meds for six weeks, then I have to have the EDG or whatever again before she will schedule my surgery. I am really bummed. But I have waited over a year and a half so I guess waiting alittle while longer won't matter.
Yesterday I ate:
B-Egg omlet with coffee and ff creamer
s-protein bar (small one)
L-six oz tuna with ff miracle whip and afew wheat thins
s-choclate chips, about 40 mini pieces
d-Chicken salad with carb free ranch dressing
Talk with you later.

Karen,
hun I am sorry that you have to wait more and I know it can be frustrating. ~hugs~ You have to look at it this way, the Dr did that so you will be safe, I guess you must have that bacteria that might cause an ulser so it is better safe then sorry with that. From what I hear the next time you go back should take care of it and you will be on your way.
Thanks for sharing your menu with us and have a great day!

Hi Debra,
Congrats on being in the teens!
I see that you had bacon yesterday. This gives me hope as I get through my first month of mushy food. I love bacon. Yum!
My diet is quite boring today. For breakfast I had 1/2 cup of yogurt, for lunch I had 1/4 cup of grits and for dinner I'll probably have the rest of the grits. I tried to eat more than 1/4 cup of the grits and spit it up. I'm quite surprised at how little it is taking to fill me up.
The good thing is that I am getting in over 64 oz. of water and 2 protein shakes every day.

Dee,
Hello hun and thanks.. Meeting the smaller goal is working good.
Yes I did and I try not to do that to much but I was out for breakfast and that was the only protein that I could eat besides eggs. I know for me the mushy stage was very depressing. Once I started to add more things into my diet I started to feel normal again. It takes time.....
Good for you that you can get in all your water and protein.....it really makes a difference.
Take care hun ~hugs~
