Question: re: Victory Hospital???
After being cancel 5 times.. I have decided to go with the Cori Center of Brooklyn and the scheduled me for Tuesday the 20th .... I will be having my surgery at Victory Hospital in Brooklyn... And I'm not familar with this hospital... I went Friday for my pre-op and the people seem nice. But the hospital it self is a pretty old (1000 +yrs old in fact)
They ask when was my surgery. I told them the 20th. She went to a ledger on top of file cabnit to look it up. Their computers are out dated. I'm not that worried but I was wandering if any body used this hospital for their surgery and how it went.
first of all good luck and god bless
secondly I'm supposed to be going through with the cori center also did they take a long time to get your approval going? I went for my consult a month ago and my insurance says they never received anything did that hapeen to you too? should I be patient or look for someone else I'm so ready to lose. Anyhoo best wishes

Hi Ladrika,
Why was your surgery cancelled 5 times??? Geez, some hospitals/doctors are just so sloppy and careless. :cough: North Shore :cough:

first to times they made appointments assuming that the insurance would go though.... third time the surgeon had a personal emergency ( i understood things happen).... 4th time it was cancel becuase my PCC explained that the physician assist didn't have is paper work.
So here I is ...lol.... at a different hospital... same surgeon
I am also waiting on insurance approval through CORI. It seems to be taking a long time but i am very happy with Dr. Sapala and want to stay with him. I had posted the question on victory memorial a few weeks back but didnt get much of a response, I was originally planning on having surgery at st vincents but all of a sudden the cori center moved from manhattan to brooklyn and left st vincents as well. I was not very happy with that. If you are able to find out about victory memorial would you please share. Thanks and good luck to you.
I had surgery at Victory Memorial and was concerned as well. Dr. S and his surgical team were excellent as was the medical workers at Victory. I was treated so very well. So in a nutshell, Victory is old, but with the care was better than most. God they were all so attentive!!!
All the best to you,
Leila
