Getting Frustrated!!
Okay, i've been trying to get a surgery date now for several months. The nutrionist i have to see is an hour away,and she's a dragon on top of that. I'm in line waiting for a sleep apnea test that is taking forever. Is there an easier way?? I'm so tired of playing the insurance vs doctor game. Does anyone have ANY suggestions? Thanks!

Bonnie,
Hun hang in there and take it one day at a time... ~Hugs~ I had to find a Nutrionist closer to me then my surgeons office as that was 2 hrs away so I did not use the Dr one, I found my own in my area.
Also ask to be put on the cancelation list for the sleep test, I know others that have done that and it sure saved some time, if your Dr has such a thing.
I wish you the very best hun ~Hugs~

Bonnie;
I know how hard it is. I had to wait over a year to even get an appointment with the doctor. Luckly for me she is only 20 miles away.
I have now been on the South Beach diet for 5 weeks, and have urine tests, doppler tests, physic eval and on this coming Friday a EDG???
Next Wednesday, Sept. 21st I meet with the doctor again. Hopefully she will tell me that I am a good person for the surgery.
It takes a long time, hang in there.

Bonnie, I know how frustrating it is. Believe me I went through ups and downs prior to going in the hospital the morning of surgery. I don't really have any advice but just some words of support. Keep your chin up and keep fighting. This will happen if you want it to. After you have the surgery, you will feel like the monkey is off your back and you will be so glad you stuck to it and made it happen. Nothing about this is easy and thats probably a good thing. Of course that is easy for me to say now ... I can remember not feeling that prior to surgery. Just keep going !!

Dear Bonnie,
I know how frustrating it is waiting. I had to wait I think it was like at least 7 months just to have a consultation w/my surgeon.(oh how times have changed) The I had to wait I think it was about 6 months for a surgery date after I finished all of those tests(which took forever) and THEN wait for the insurance to clear it. It was a big mess but it seems that is the norm. What can you do but just realize pretty much everyone goes through the same thing. Take care.
