Hello everyone! My name is Marie!

I live in NY also, in the Bronx, that is! I was just checking out the sites and I happen to come across this one. My surgery date is for October 12th, and I can hardly wait until it gets here! I have done all my research about WLS and I have heard of all the procedures and risks.I just wanted to introduce myself and congratulate all the people that are having and had their surgeries, I wish everyone a successful surgery and a speedy recovery also!

Hi there Marie, My name is Lorraine and I live on Long Island. I had my WLS on 12/15/03 and have lost a total of 115 pds. I weighed 245lbs and now weigh between 130-135lbs. I feel wonderful. Hi Marie! Iam fairly new here myself, I had my surgery on 7/15/05. That makes 2 months on Friday. Good Luck on your upcoming surgery, you will find everyone here helpful and caring. I live in Monticello, but originally from the Bronx. Linda

Hi There Marie Welcome and CONGRATS on your surgery date ! This site is a wealth of info and you will find a whole lot of support and love here with the OH family . I have not had my surgery yet but I can't wait to do so ! Since finding this site I really have learned so much and have gotten such great support from these people .So don't be afraid and post with any issues or concerns you may have cause everyone here will jump right in and help ya out as best they can ! Hi Maria! Congrats on getting the WLS! I had my inital surgery on 2/2/5 and I am down to 133 from 255! I have/had a few problems but I do not regred having the surgery at all, just wished I was more mentally prepared. Please keep us posted about you and feel free to jump on in! Dear Marie, Welcome to this website -- it is awesome -- I'm addicted to at least come on once a day or I don't feel like my day is complete.
