Hi Tavia, I agree with everyone who posted and I hope you continue posting the good, the bad and the ugly. We all have to know what to expect with this surgery. I have been very lucky as I had a very easy time with my surgery in July. The only problem I had was retaining fluid after the surgery, which made me gain 5 pounds!! That is something for which I was not prepared. I, for one, thank you and everyone else for being brutally honest about their experiences. Thankfully, the good seems to outweigh the bad. Keep posting and vent whenever you want. This board is for the members to support, assist and listen to each other. I think it is wrong for your doctor's coordinator to check out the board if it is being done to "spy" on what his patients are saying!!!!! Well, I have said my piece and hope you continue your posts so we know what is going on with you and so pre-ops can know all of the aspects of this surgery. As for the stent, why don't they use stainless steel stent similar to the ones they insert in heart patients?? Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} Brenda

Hi Brenda. "This board is for the members to support, assist and listen to each other. I think it is wrong for your doctor's coordinator to check out the board if it is being done to "spy" on what his patients are saying!!!!!" i couldn't say it better myself! For this stent, if it's plastic, metal, rubber, made out of tin foil whatever, I just think its a stupid idea. It's not what I signed up for and I want to be a normal gastric bypass patient. Is that too much to ask? I really cant care less about the weight loss now I just want to be healthy. I dont want people to think I am freakin drunk b/c I am so out of it b/c I dont eat probably? Come on you know? I just see me having more problems if I get this stent put it. My luck, you know? Thanks for reading!! Tavia
