Cori Center LEAVING MAnhattan already!

Hello everyone' Well, i just found out that the Cori center is leaving it's Manhattan location as of 9-6-05...... a lot of notice they give! They are moving to Brooklyn! Why on earth would they make such a stupid, dumb move?? Manhattan is the best place for any centrally located office! Most people work in Manhattan, & go to there dr appts on their lunch hours, when possible. They have clients from Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, & Staten Island.... as well as many who come much further. Manhattan was a central location. It now will take an hour to just get to my appt, & then wait there for an hour or so to be seen, & then a another good hour to get back. An appt that use to take 1 1/2 hours will now take over 3, or more if i count having to get back to Queens! Nothing against Brooklyn, but part of my decision on chosing a Dr, was also the fact that they had a Manhattan location, & would be easy to get to. I would have NEVER chosen a Dr with had a Brooklyn only location, now i'm stuck with one, it really sucks. I wasn't that happy with Cori anyway, as i thought the office was poorly run & staffed, with less than friendly office personel, but the Dr's were good... now i'm even less happy with them.

I agree, i was not notified until i recieved my letter in the mail yesturday. I wanted to have my surgery in st vincents and now i dont know what i am going to do....That was not very nice they didnt say anything!

I would think the reason they are moving is because of two reason. 1- the rent was way too high. 2- they were in Soho and people that live, work, shop and hang out in Soho doesn't want to see a bunch of fat people in they're area. They we're located in the most stuck up area of the city. On a personal note I agree with with you about the staff. They are really mean. And people like them get a job. But yet someone like me who is friendly and likes people can't find a job.
